Age Limit: Candidates upper age limit is 35 years for S.No 1 post, 28 years for S.No 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 & 12 posts, & 32 years for S.No 5, 6,9 & 11 posts & 26 years for S.No 10 post as on 31-07-2013. Relaxation is applicable as per rules.


Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Ph.D in Physics/ Material Science/ Nanoscience/ Nanotechnology/ Geophysics/ Engineering for S.No 1 post, MSc (Physics) and NET qualified for S.No 2 post, MSc (Physics/ Math)/ M.Tech (Nanotechnology or Material Science)/ B.Tech (Electronics) and NET qualified for S.No 3, 4 & 5 post, ME/ M.Tech (Nanotechnology/ Material Science, photonic/ ECE/Applied Optics/ Biomedical engineering/ Biochemistry/ toxicology)/ MSc (Chemistry/ Biology)/ B.Tech (Chemical) with NET qualified for S.No 6 & 10 post, B.E/ B.Tech (Electronics & Instrumentation) for S.No 7 post, MSc (Chemistry/ specialization in organic chemistry) for S.No 8 & 9 posts, M.Sc (Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/chemistry) for S.No 11 & 12 posts, with minimum 60% marks for all posts & with relevant experience for SRF post.


Selection Process: In case large number of candidates turn up, the candidates will be shortlisted for interview by a duly constituted Screening Committee. Only the short-listed candidates will be interviewed by Selection Committee.
